Canada vs NZ

Hi Chris

We went to the Fan Zone on Saturday night to watch the rugby game between England and Scotland. That evening was warm and not much wind which was a rarity in our windy city. The atmosphere was fantastic. People were drinking beer and munching pizzas while watching the game. A lot of people dressed up or had the emblems painted on their faces. They even sang each other’s national anthem. It was an exciting game and both sides were in good spirits.

The game on Sunday afternoon between Canada and NZ was fantastic too. Most of the stadium was wearing black with patches of red and white. Lots of motor homes were parked in town and we saw a lot of Canadian supporters were having lunch at the roadside cafes just before the game started. Saw some of them wearing Dr Seuss hats too, very funny. Although the Canada team knew it would be difficult to beat the All Blacks (mind you, All Blacks has never lost a pool game in history), they put together their best team and put in their 100% till the very end. They have done their country proud and should hold their heads up for their tremendous efforts.

Here are the scores:

The whole country will be very busy following these rugby games in the next couple of weeks.

Go All Blacks!

Cheers
